-
How should I prepare before you arrive?
- We require heat, running water, power and lights in the bathroom.
- We ask that you please remove any belongings from the bathroom (shampoo bottles, soaps, floor mats, hampers, garbage cans, bath mats, etc…)
- Dripping taps must be fixed prior to us arriving as they will cause issues when applying our coatings and it will void the warranty.
-
How should I care for my tub after it’s been refinished?
- Your bathtub requires 24 hours to cure before use and seven days to reach its full cure. During the those first seven days, it is best not to use any cleaning products.
- Your refinished surface only needs a light cleaning with nonabrasive cleaning liquids and cloths. Mild dish soap and water with a wash cloth work great. As long as you’re not using abrasive cleaners, pads or products containing ammonia or acids, you will be fine. When in doubt, call, text or email us.
- We ask that you leave soaps, bottles or wet towels off the bathtub. Over time, these may discolour the finish. For best results, use a shower caddy.
- We also ask that you not use a bathmat on your newly refinished bathtub or shower. Bathmats will either discolour the finish or remove it. If a slip-resistant surface is required, we can add this during the refinishing process.
- If at anytime your tub gets chipped or damaged, please call us as soon as possible to repair so that the issue does not worsen.
-
What’s the warranty on my refinished or repaired fixture?
- Fresh Tubs offers a three-year residential warranty and one-year commercial warranty against yellowing, fading and peeling of refinished bathtubs and showers. With our tried and proven coatings along with proper care and maintenance, your newly refinished fixture will give you many more years of use.
- Refinished sinks have a one-year warranty.
- Acrylic and fiberglass repairs have a one-year warranty.
